Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs)

VetREC assists in creating and sustaining internal research infrastructures to measure, analyze, and communicate your impact with Veterans over time. Our services include designing and implementing data collection tools (interview/focus group questions and surveys), creating communications to engage Veteran stakeholders, and organizing and analyzing data to produce comprehensive project deliverables. Past projects have included developing Research Program Standard Operating Procedures, writing Community Impact Reports, creating infographics, presenting on behalf of your organization at conferences, and compiling Community Field Research and Longitudinal Reports that tell your organization’s story over time.

  • Impact Assessment : VetREC helps you set up robust research infrastructures, collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, write detailed quarterly/annual reports, and track longitudinal data to identify high-impact areas and opportunities for growth.
  • Needs Assessment: We conduct thorough needs assessments for specific programs or services, collecting and analyzing data from both your organization and existing scientific literature, providing comprehensive reports for internal and external use.
  • Funding Support: VetREC identifies grant opportunities tailored to your needs and provides expertise in writing and submitting compelling grant proposals.

Researchers and Research Institutions

We specialize in recruiting Veterans for research engagement projects that work with Veterans, ensuring higher participant response and retention rates. Through curated workshops and Veteran research engagement toolkits, we empower faculty and research staff to conduct collaborative research that fosters reciprocal engagement, facilitates data collection, and drives direct community impact.

  • Veteran Research Readiness: We offer workshops to train faculty and staff in Veteran research engagement, develop strategies to overcome recruitment challenges, and help retain Veterans in long-term studies. Additionally, we create feedback loops to build rapport with Veteran stakeholders.
  • Funding Support: VetREC shapes research grant proposals to align with Veterans’ needs by writing impact statements and providing letters of support.

Talks and Trainings

VetREC offers keynote talks on a variety of Veteran-related topics and can develop customized trainings, such as cultural awareness programs, to enhance understanding and service to the Veteran community.

Market Research

VetREC also provides market research services, uniquely incorporating Veterans into the process. We first assess market demand through research with Veterans before moving forward with developing product or service positioning, ensuring that products and services align with the needs of the community.

How VetREC Consulting Works

  1. Initial Meeting: Building relationships is at the core of our work. We start with a free consultation to discuss your project’s needs and goals, and explore how we can collaborate.
  2. Proposal Development: After our initial meeting, if we determine our services align with your needs, we may have 1-2 follow-up discussions. From there, we’ll create a customized proposal outlining the services, deliverables, timeline, costs, and expectations.
  3. Contract Agreement: Once we finalize the proposal, we’ll draft a Statement of Work contract. This ensures both parties are clear on the work plan, invoicing schedule, and roles, so we can move forward confidently.

A Note on Research Grants: VetREC can also collaborate on research grants that align with our mission and expertise. Whether as consultants or subrecipients, we can offer limited pre-grant support, such as reviewing proposals we are involved in, and providing quotes or letters of support for submission.
