Leading Recruitment for Rural Veteran Study
At VetREC, we deeply understand Veterans and the unique challenges researchers face in accessing and engaging this community. Therefore, we’re here to help.
On this project, we partnered with a research team from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to support a project focused on improving access to services for rural Veterans across the US.
So, what did we do to help?
First, we met with the team to ensure project outcomes aligned with the true needs of the Veteran community. Then, we reviewed the surveys to ensure the questions were culturally aware. Additionally, we contributed ideas for how and where to recruit Veterans to engage in the research. Furthermore, we communicated directly with the funding agency to ensure Veterans were involved in the entire research process. Moreover, we designed the study recruitment materials, including the fliers and all communications. Lastly, we distributed the study recruitment materials throughout the expansive VetREC network.
Currently, recruitment is well underway. Once it’s complete, we will give feedback on the study findings and help distribute the outcomes throughout the Veteran community.
At VetREC, we understand Veterans and research. We stand ready to support your research and ensure it’s research with, not on, Veterans.
