Why I Started VetREC

I founded VetREC because I saw a significant gap in how research about Veterans was being conducted. Too often, Veterans were the subjects of studies without being fully engaged in the process. I wanted to change that. My vision was to create a consulting firm that partners with Veteran Service Organizations and research institutions to ensure the Veteran voice is central to every project. Our motto, research with, not on, Veterans, guides everything we do.

Through this blog, I hope to build a community where research is not just something that happens to Veterans but is something they actively shape. I hope you’ll find value in what we share here and that our posts will inspire you to think differently about how we engage Veterans in the vital work of research and education.
